We strive to provide support, services, and experiences that uplift and empower the youth in our care to be the best versions of themselves. Check out more information about our Farm to Table Project, Foster Youth Dental Care Program, and Project Flare.
How We’re Helping
Farm to Table Project
The Farm to Table Project is a partnership of TLC Child & Family Services and other local non-profits and funders, to benefit Journey Academy students and other youth and families by providing a small farm and outdoor learning center, state-of-the-art teaching kitchen with six workstations, indoor and outdoor style dining areas with academic curriculum covering nutrition and physical health plus skills in culinary and foodservice.
TLC’s SCCV Legacy Fund
The SCCV Legacy Fund helps fund the critical need of providing current or former Sonoma County foster youth (up to age 24) with orthodontic treatment or other dental care that cannot be funded through other sources. Applications are available on our website.
TLC’s Project Flare intends to create a legacy of visibility for LGBTQ+ foster youth and provide both virtual and real-time connections to ALL those seeking Project Flare’s invitation to “undo aloneness.” Learn more about how you can help spread our message and decrease aloneness for LGBTQ+ youth and foster youth.
