The at-risk youth TLC regularly serve face systemic barriers to accessing safe learning spaces, technical skill training, career preparation opportunities, and avenues to engage with the outdoors. We aim to close the gap with our farm to table program. This includes an organic farm, teaching kitchen, outdoor gathering space and a pavilion for events, chicken coop, goat run, composting, and apiary.
Healthy living benefits physical as well as mental health, and our youth deserve the best possible start in life. We recognize the importance of offering career preparation that might not be part of a university path, and that relevant, as well as local learning, helps keep students inspired.
Your support at TLC’s Farm to Table Fundraiser will go directly towards this important project designed to support our community’s most vulnerable youth.
