Position Summary:

Residential clinicians provide individual, family and group therapy. They work closely with a multidisciplinary team of other therapists, direct care and teaching staff. Consequently, this is a great opportunity for personal and professional growth and development. They work closely with the clinical supervisor,  receiving ongoing support. The work is fast paced and rewarding, while simultaneously honing your clinical skills. This position includes a rotating on-call shift. 

Qualifications Required:

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling or Mental Health Counseling 
  • Board of Behavioral Sciences registration 
  • Dedication, commitment and patience in developing and maintaining a therapeutic alliance with clients and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, which encourages and supports engagement in therapy and continuity with treatment.

Skills:

  • Ability to stay grounded and apply facilitation and directing skills to support youth and their families who find themselves in complex and challenging situations
  • Ability to work with diverse people including staff, youth, families, and community members
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with technology, including: Google Suite, Microsoft Office and electronic health records
  • Excellent time management and strong organization skills
  • Assess, plan, organize, direct and implement clinical treatment services for youth and their families

Agency Requirements:

  • Obtain and maintain fingerprint, government and agency required background clearances, without additional exemptions
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screen
  • Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and auto insurance showing employee as an insured driver on the policy
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred

TLC offers a generous benefit package for full time staff including:

  • 100% employer paid health, dental and vision plans for the employee. Dependents would be covered at 50% of the base health plan by TLC, dental and vision would be the employee’s responsibility. Coverage is available on the 1st of the month following the date of hire.
  • Paid Time Off: Starting at 14 days per year based on a 40 hour work week. Increases with time of service.
