Residentially Based Services

TLC Child and Family Services residential programs have provided safety, shelter, and support to adolescents for over 30 years. Located in beautiful Sebastopol, in the heart of rural Sonoma County, TLC serves adolescents with a wide range of emotional needs. We have three Level 12 Residential Treatment Programs which includes Phoenix, home to ten boys ages 13-18; Coast, home for eight girls ages 13-18; and Orchard, a co-ed independent living skills program for emancipating youth ages 15-19. Our homes maintain superior standards and are accredited through the prestigious California Alliance for Children and Family Services.

Our Treatment Philosophy focuses on connections to self, others and community. Residents receive individual and/or family therapy weekly from our Outpatient Mental Health Services. Many of our adolescents are not able to succeed in the mainstream high school academic setting. Students have the option of attending TLC’s, Journey High School that can provide a unique and effective educational environment. The average length of stay is 12-18 months depending on each individual treatment plan and discharge goals.
